Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the US and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. She began her career at ESPN in the year of 2016. She is the daughter television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since her age of nine. It is this skill that allowed her to get her first position as an Univision Production Assistant in Miami. She was a producer for national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Following this, she was hired by the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg employed her as a sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated away from Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she became a news correspondent on KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. Her duties as an anchor on sports and weather was also frequently requested. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she is more responsible. While on a trip with the family in Ohio, the younger Collins was able to take a job with her older sister. Antonietta was an incoming senior in high school and had a very clear vision of her career goals. She went to Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. She loved the campus. It also gave her the program she was interested in. After completing her studies, she was admitted to the university for a master's degree studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his love of journalism. Also, he deeply affected her.
